The Primary Sector Of Brazil

market regulator and the memorandum of Health Troika

The JN (13:05:11) praises the courage of the Governor's Health Prof. George Slater (JS) , who said 'unnecessary ports are missing in the NHS quit' including 'NHS hospitals along the highway Lisbon-Porto. " He explained that hospitals were doubtful whether the need for 'quality and safety issues or the fundamental issue of accessibility. " link link

Actually JS showed courage but also discernment, which is not surprising is Professor and regulator, and detachment, with rejection of the politicization and demagoguery so common today. You are absolutely right about the closure and conversion of hospitals to care for social care and light and not just along that highway (AE), unnecessary because: a) AE greatly decreased access time, b) population has shifted or fallen, see Bragança district currently 3 hospitals and 140 000 inhabitants; c) evolution of medical technology became obsolete and called for concentration on new and much larger hospitals, however constructed.

About measures Troika JS argued, with justice, that there should be balance between the efficiency required by the Troika and the situation of the Portuguese economy and equity required in the distribution of financial stress.
classified as "an exaggeration" to reduction in drug spending proposed in the memorandum - I am tempted to agree with the difficulty of the target for 2013 but in recognizing the need for such a reduction, perhaps a longer period (2016?). Also, the measures on the revenue side is presented as entirely justified and necessary.

Actually the problem of our economic and financial situation (desperate) need to become an opportunity for the NHS to improve and enhance sustainability, with improved quality and safety and requiring fewer resources to taxpayers (in proportion of production) through of action that eliminates waste and enhance the rationality of decisions at all levels.
This is the path.

The now acclaimed as liberal ideas for health, privatizing and supposedly champions freedom of choice, there are solutions except for some providers aware and grateful.
